Cardington re-roofing for the Southill Estate
Description of Works
Re-roofing to the estate's heritage properties, including repointing and conservation repairs to ornate chimneys, plus FSG and rainwater goods.
All timberwork repaired to back barns and lean-to's, in keeping with the age of the properties and the style of the Southill Estate houses.
Reclaimed bricks were used to repair chimneys so as to keep the character of the properties intact and to not detract from the age and styling of the village houses.
Challenges Overcome
As the works were to listed buildings, owned by the Southill Estates, we needed to ensure that the roofing services were carried out in a style sympathetic to the current structures whilst blending in with the surrounding environment.
With regards to Heritage work, Lee Roofing Ltd have specialisms in lead work, listed building roof work and restoration works.
